Nevada governor race deadlocked, Senate virtual tie

A new Emerson College poll shows the races for U.S. Senate and governor in Nevada are virtually tied, with less than two months to go before Election Day. The poll from Emerson College Polling and The Hill shows Republican former Attorney General Adam Laxalt with 42 percent and Democratic U.S. Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto with 41 percent, well within the poll’s 3-percentage-point margin of error. In the race for governor, Gov. Steve Sisolak and Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo are tied at 40 percent each.
